Road to I/ITSEC 2022: HTX Labs is Removing Barriers to Developing and Accessing XR Content

HTX Labs is paving the way for the rapid creation of centralized and sustainable XR training with its immersive learning platform EMPACT, providing organizations with an all-in-one platform for creating, managing, and scaling XR training programs.
Ready to make an EMPACT
Since 2017, Houston-based commercial software company HTX Labs has been on a mission to accelerate the future of learning, delivering end-to-end immersive learning software solutions and experiential training content development services for the U.S. Department of Defense.
The EMPACT® platform by HTX Labs powered by Varjo Reality Cloud provides a centralized place for managing immersive experiences. The name EMPACT stands for Experience Management Platform for Advanced Conditioning and Training. HTX developed the EMPACT platform to modernize training, improve safety, scale, and sustain immersive learning programs to build resilience and readiness of today’s military.
Some of the biggest challenges organizations face in adopting VR and XR into their day-to-day operations include difficulty in developing, accessing, and distributing immersive training content within the organization. The cloud-based EMPACT solution was designed to overcome many of these challenges: not only does EMPACT offer a platform for hosting immersive training experiences, but it also provides low-code training development tools allowing users to create, learn and measure their XR training programs effectively – with added ease of access across the organization.
Advancing critical training with Varjo
HTX Labs has been partnering with Varjo since 2018 to offer full-scale, realistic virtual visualizations mixed with real-world environments. Their training platform EMPACT is built on Unreal Engine by Epic Games and it is deployed with Varjo headsets, which were chosen due to their best-in-class capabilities.
