U.S. Customers: Finland-Based Manufacturing Now Available for XR-4 Series.
Select XR-4 headsets are now available with Finland-based manufacturing to help U.S. customers avoid new import tariffs and ensure smooth delivery.
A new manufacturing option to reduce import costs.
Due to ongoing changes in U.S. trade policy, tariffs on imported XR technology may increase soon. To minimize impact for our U.S.-based customers, Varjo now offers Finland-manufactured options for specific headset variants. By choosing units manufactured in Europe, U.S. customers can avoid additional import duties while continuing to receive the same high-performance XR-4 Series experience.
What’s changing?
While most Varjo headsets and accessories are manufactured in China, specific variants will now be available for purchase with the country of origin as Finland. This option is now available for:
- Varjo XR-4 with base station tracking.
- Varjo XR-4 Focal Edition with base station tracking.
Purchasing a Varjo XR-4 Secure Edition headset? Secure Edition headsets are not affected by this change, as they are already manufactured in Finland.

- Delivery time is estimated at under 8 weeks.
- Listed products are still subject to import tariffs from the EU (currently 10%).
