With more than 30 years of experience developing innovative and disruptive technologies used in simulation and training, John has been involved with the development of image generation systems, on-line virtual worlds, and AR/VR/MR solutions across the industry.
John currently manages Varjo’s Training and Simulation business supporting the development of AR/VR/MR solutions leveraging Varjo’s human-eye resolution HMDs.
Joseph Kilkenny

Currently a senior consultant in training and simulation, aviation requirements, and talent acquisition and management, Joe is a 35-year combat aircraft-carrier aviation veteran with a subspecialty in training and simulation.
Flying the A-6, F14 and F/A-18, Joe commanded and led at every level to include an Attack Squadron, a Carrier Air Wing, a Carrier Strike Group, Aviation Requirements, Navy Recruiting Command and Naval Education and Training Command. After the Navy he was the Assistant Vice President for Training and Development at CSX railroad.
Chris Metel
Engineering Program Manager – Prepar3D, Lockheed Martin
Chris serves as the Engineering Program Manager of Lockheed Martin’s Prepar3D simulation software which engages users in immersive training through realistic environments.
He has nearly 20 years of experience in the software industry leading complex projects domestically and internationally in logistics and simulation domains.
