Varjo Announces Software Compatibility with TechViz, Making 200+ Industrial 3D Applications Available For the World’s Only Human-Eye Resolution Devices
Varjo integration with TechViz allows highest-end visualization of 3D models in Catia, Creo, NX, Revit and many more
July 10th 2019, Helsinki/Paris – Varjo, the technology leader in industrial-grade VR/XR headsets, and TechViz, the leader in 3D visualization software, have announced full compatibility for Varjo’s VR headsets with TechViz. TechViz allows engineers and designers to visualize 3D data directly from more than 200 compatible applications, including Catia, Creo, NX, and Navisworks.
With the integration into Varjo, TechViz users can now explore and modify their 3D models in human-eye resolution virtual reality using their native CAD tools. Designs can be tweaked and updated in real-time in the highest visual fidelity VR without data conversion.
Varjo headsets have a resolution of more than 60 pixels per degree, allowing designers to create and interact with true-to-life VR models. Varjo’s HMDs also come with the world’s most advanced integrated eye tracking.
“Varjo’s integration with TechViz makes it possible to validate designs virtually, as even the smallest details are visible, with multiple software tools used by professionals. Highly optimized rendering ensures that frame rate remains high even with large-scale, +500M triangle models,” said Urho Konttori, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of Varjo.
“Varjo and TechViz really bring professional VR to the next level. Now engineers and designers can visualize 3D data from more than 200 software applications like Catia, NX and Creo immediately in VR at a retina resolution. The most complicated CAD models, even those with +500M triangles, can now be rendered with human-eye resolution and smoothly navigated through,” said Alexis Vartanian CTO of TechViz.
With TechViz, the software ecosystem of Varjo grows to hundreds of industrial tools used by engineers, designers and researchers. This enables accelerating development cycles, design reviews, simulations and various other use cases. Varjo is already compatible with world’s leading 3D engines and software tools including Unity, Unreal Engine, Autodesk VRED, Prepar3D, and iMotions.
