Bohemia Interactive Simulations Joins Varjo’s Reseller Network in Asia-Pacific
Bohemia Interactive Simulations will start sales of Varjo HMDs immediately to its customers in Australia and New Zealand, expanding its enterprise portfolio of VR and XR solutions for training & simulation
Helsinki, Finland / Melbourne, Australia – 1st June 2020 – Varjo, the leader in industrial-grade VR/XR headsets, today announced the expansion of its value-added reseller network in the Asia-Pacific region with Bohemia Interactive Simulations, one of the global leaders in training and simulation solutions. As part of the commercial agreement, Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) will resell Varjo HMDs to its customers in Australia and New Zealand who are interested in the highest-fidelity virtual and mixed reality solutions for training and simulation.
BISim’s portfolio will feature both of Varjo’s human-eye resolution headsets, VR-2 and VR-2 Pro (including hand tracking), as well as the photorealistic mixed reality device XR-1 Developer Edition, which makes it possible to seamlessly mix synthetic and real content. Combined with BISim’s VBS Blue image generation system and associated professional services, training system developers will now be able to create highly immersive, cost-effective solutions for the most demanding scenarios across land, sea, air, and space use cases.
Major cost savings and portability compared to other systems
“Varjo provides the only HMDs with human-eye resolution that allow trainees to read small text and see objectives at realistic visibility ranges in virtual and mixed reality simulations. With the industry’s most advanced integration with our mixed reality HMD XR-1, VBS Blue IG is an ideal software platform to address emerging requirements for mixed reality training where a user needs to see and interact with a physical cockpit or crew stations while immersed in a synthetic environment. Together with BISim, we are thrilled to accelerate VR/XR training opportunities for our customers in the Asia-Pacific region,” said John Burwell, Global Lead Simulation and Training at Varjo.
“BISim is excited about deepening the partnership with Varjo in Australia and New Zealand,” said Ryan Stephenson, Managing Director of Bohemia Interactive Australia. “Virtual and mixed reality technologies can bring major cost savings and portability compared to other forms of visual systems. With Varjo’s photorealistic visual fidelity and integrated eye tracking, combined with the power of VBS Blue IG, we can now provide to our customers the best quality in virtual and mixed reality training.”
Experience Varjo HMDs in-person
With stronger presence in the Asia-Pacific, Varjo’s technology is now more accessible to clients for in-person demos, training, testing and project reviews. BISim will offer customers an opportunity to experience Varjo HMDs in-person in their experience center as well as get trials through Varjo’s new contactless remote demo kit program.
Varjo launched its global reseller network a year ago to provide enterprise customers globally with more access to its VR/XR industrial headsets. Since then, the program has grown to include over 30 authorised reseller partners across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Middle East.
Varjo is based in Helsinki and is creating the world’s best hardware and software for groundbreaking VR/AR/XR computing devices, merging the real and digital worlds seamlessly together in human-eye resolution.
