True-to-life visual fidelity and full-cockpit mixed reality make Varjo XR-4 the headset for flight simulation.
Rise to new heights with the ultimate flight simulation experience. With Varjo, you can stay comfortably immersed in a flight simulation of unmatched clarity for hours on end. Varjo XR-4 is a must-have for every flight simulation pilot.
Varjo XR-4 features dual 4K-per-eye mini-LED displays that proper users to a new level of visual fidelity. At 3840 x 3744 per eye across a 120° x 105° field of view, the Varjo XR-4 resolves up to 51 PPD, enough to read switch labels and gauge markings without leaning in.
Varjo XR-4 offers an incredible true-to-life visual experience that makes the screen-door effect a thing of the past, with a 1:10,000 contrast ration and 98% sRGB coverage for true night and dusk conditions.

Flight simulation software
Varjo XR-4 works with the flight simulation software the industry already runs. Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, and DCS are all supported, alongside professional image generators and simulation platforms, through OpenXR, SteamVR, and the Varjo native SDK.
Mixed reality means the physical cockpit comes with it. Dual 20-megapixel passthrough cameras with depth-aware occlusion keep real controls, panels, and hands visible while the world outside the canopy renders at full fidelity.
Certified out-of-the-box XR experience
Configuring XR across multiple vendors takes time and introduces risk. Component mismatches and performance gaps usually surface after procurement, when they are hardest to fix. The Integrated XR System removes that step. It ships as a single pre-validated package: a certified XR Station workstation, your choice of headset from the XR-4 Series, and a pre-installed software suite, tested and confirmed to work together, with expert support from day one. For flight simulation, that means one less integration to manage.
