U.S. Army RVCT Air Program

Varjo was chosen as the XR technology provider for the U.S. Army’s Reconfigurable Virtual Collective Trainer (RVCT) Air Program in 2023, enabling a portable training capability for three different helicopters: Apache, Chinook, and Blackhawk. The XR-4 Secure Edition is manufactured in Finland, a NATO member state, and offered in TAA-compliant configurations with no wireless components.

Varjo Base, the software for managing the headset, was designed with enterprise-grade security in mind. It has received a Certificate to Field (CTF) from the United States Air Force, certifying it for use within the Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI).
